Hello, my friends.
I apologize for not writing sooner. As you've no doubt heard on TWIT, I've decided not to start up the Jumping Monkeys podcast again.
I enjoyed our run and I can't tell you how much I appreciated all the feedback from you all.
I can't thank Leo, Dane, Colleen, Tony, and Frederique enough for letting me barge into the studio once a week and blab on about geek parenting.
And I can't thank you enough for taking the time to listen.
I also wanted to thank all of our guests for coming on the show and their PR people who put up with my unprofessional scheduling style. And for those of you who I forgot to tell that the show was live, I apologize for that too.
Why did I stop doing the show? I have such a great respect for Leo and for everything that he's doing and I hope to continue to be a part of it in some way in the future. It's difficult to explain exactly why I decided to cancel Jumping Monkeys. The most simple answer is that I was finding it more difficult to devote the time that I thought was needed to make the show improve and blossom. The more complicated answer is that research for these shows is difficult. I never recommended anything that I didn't like, but it was getting way too easy to get content from the PR people who sent the most emails. And that's not always the best content.
I think I may close down this blog soon too. It has been a great seven years, but I think I explained why in my last post.
