LISTENER FEEDBACK:
Here's Ken's recipe for homemade detergent:
80 Grams of grated soap
110 Grams of Cleaning Soda
5 L hot water
Stir the soap and soda into the hot water until it's all dissolved and let it stand for 10 - 12 hours until it's a thick fluid. Put in a container and add to the wash in a plastic ball.
She found that you need to use about 1.5 times as much as commercial detergent and if it's badly soiled or when you are running a dark wash add a dash (30-50ml) of Cleaning Vinegar. You should also try and
avoid using a dryer as it costs 1 Euro per load.
