A couple of things from this week's show. Sheila Tubman moved to Tarrytown. I actually remember this from my 50 or so readings of the book in elementary show.
You were talking about Stuart Little. My oldest son is adopted and I got the DVD of the movie from the library. I was very anxious when the section came where the mice said they were Stuart's parents and took him away. I was afraid that my son might think his birth parents would come and try to take him from us. As that section of the movie came, my anxiety grew. During the section my son said "mom?" in a very serious voice. I asked him what and I was very nervous. Then he said "I want some nuts". The mice were eating the families nuts in the scene. That seems to be the only thing he processed during the scene.
I will have to download the New Yorker podcast.
I love the show. Thanks for all you do.

Love the Fantastic Contraption game. My 6-year-old certainly needs some coaching with it, but we're having fun. A similar game exists at http://kids.discovery.com/games/whizzball/whizzball.html Your listeners may like that a lot too. It's kind of a Shoots-and-ladders sort of game - really cute, and very well done.
