There are many perks to being part of the TWiT network. There's the free brain toniq, the free legal advice from Denise Howell, and free stuff from people who hope I'll talk about it on my blog.
Last month I received a bunch of CDs from Disney including They Might Be Giants (Here Come the 123s), Imagination Movers (Juice Box Heroes), Genevieve and DC's Choo-Choo-Soul, Ralph's World (The Rhyming Circus), and the Disney Music Block Party CD. (Incidentally, Stefan and Bill are both reporting on the controversy over cancellations of the Disney Music Tour on their blogs. They suspect that the culprit was low ticket sales and too many headliners.)
As many of you know, I have mixed feelings about Disney. I don't like how they push princesses on my daughter and before I will go visit my best friend who lives in LA she must promise not to make me go to Disney Land while we're there.
But, I love They Might Be Giants and and as I've reported before, Here Come the 123s does not disappoint. The other CDs are good too (although I admit to not having tried Choo Choo Soul yet.) I'm not a music reviewer, but Stefan is, so read what he has to say about The Disney Music Block Party CD, and The Rhyming Circus. Also, Bill plays Imagination Movers on Spare the Rock a lot, so they can't be bad.

Choo-Choo soul will not disappointment, but I might say that your kids might be a tad bit too old to get the full enjoyment of it. My 2 year old loves it,and so does the 2 one year olds I watch during the day. Even I find myself singing a choo choo soul song through out the day.

I'm sorry to hear the tour is suffering. I took my 5 year old to the Block Party and loved it (our show had Choo Choo, Ralph's World, They Might Be Giants and Dan Zanes.)
I found Raven as MC to be a bit grating, but the bands were great. And there was a family dance area right in front of the stage for anyone who wanted to dance. There were several tents with toys and activities (and prominent product placement synergy - blech), but it was still a lot of fun. The only downside was the heat.
BTW, it was the first time I heard Ralph's World and I found it a lot of fun (fun tunes with catchy parent-friendly lyrics, i.e. kids have lots of energy but "M-O-M-M-Y needs C-O-F-F-E-E"). Take a listen to the "Happy Not My Birthday" song on Rhyming Circus.

Why do they call your butt your“ bottom” when it’ s actually in the middle? Why is it called a“ television set” if you only get one? Why do airlines call flights“ nonstop”? Which side is the other side of the street? If a cow laughs, does milk come out its nose? If Sunday is the holy day of rest, why do we have to get up early for church? Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground? If shampoo comes in so many colours, why is it always white when...
