Last month I got an e-mail from a nice woman named KC offering me press passes to San Francisco's advanced screening of the new 3D animated kids movie Fly Me to the Moon, about three flies who sneak into Apollo 11 and then into the space helmets of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin for the first walk on the moon.
I thought it would be a fun trip for Annabella and I to take together and since I was offered three passes, she got to invite a friend.
The movie was cute. The main character, Nat, was played by Trevor Gagnon. I'm a big fan of this little guy who plays Richie, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' son on The New Adventures of Old Christine (Netflix it if you haven't been watching, people).
The girls (both 5) were hesitant to put on the 3D glasses at first, but when they realized that the movie would be totally unwatchable otherwise, they came around.
I think they enjoyed the 3D aspect of the film a lot more than I did. All the way through the movie, they never gave up on the idea that they'd be able to reach out and grab things on the screen. And I never gave up on the idea that there must be a bottle of Advil in my purse to get rid of the headache that I was getting from the 3D effects (or too much coffee).
The scenes on the moon were stunning, but other than that the movie was standard kid-fare. Let's just say it was no Wall-E. There's also a rather long standard space movie anti-gravity musical montage, where I couldn't help but wonder if flies who, um, fly, would really be that psyched about anti-gravity.
Seen it? Your thoughts?

Hi - I am interested to hear about your headache... Are you sure it was movie related? Reason is modern 3D technology has supposedly eliminated that problem.
Thanks,
-jim

The headaches could have been caused by too much coffee or not enough. It wasn't necessarily the 3D technology.

Nice movie! I didn't watch in the 3D quality, but still enjoyed everything you've described - http://file.sh/Fly+Me+to+the+Moon+torrent.html (without a headache ;)

Why in the hell are you posting bit torrent links on the Jumping Monkeys website? Oh and she forgot to say she stole the movie without a headache!

I must say that my first screening of Fly Me to the Moon 3D is completely marred by the projection of the poor, which makes watching the movie with 3D glasses in almost unbearable.

What is the way to the success? It's have to be in the library. Read a lot of books, apply them in your life. You get what you want.
