LISTENER FEEDBACK:
Lorie asks about a reading magazine for preschoolers and we recommend Tessy and Tab.

I heard a great tip about registering domain names and email addresses for your kids -- use it as an online diary to share stories and photos of your child that your family and friends can enjoy. When your child is old enough to read then they will enjoy the info as well.

I think you missed one of the coolest features of using Redbox -- you can return movies to ANY Redbox for no extra charge, which is very convenient when you have multiple locations nearby.
Thanks for a great show!

This was the first episode I have listened to and I was in infuriated. Brad Stone and Jennifer Granick should not call themselves parents.
Being a parent is more than producing offspring, its about producing a person. Passing on that responsibility to a child care service should never be the first choice. It should be used when it is the only choice.
I understand that there are times when you must use childcare services, but when it your preferred choice, you should not be having kids.
Brad was at home AND one of his twins had a cold. Why were the kids not with him? When asked if she thought about being a stay at home mom, Jennifer gave a resounding NO!. What kind of mother does not want to be with her kids every moment of the day.
I presume that we are all parents here. How many of us would not prefer to spend our days with our child/children? Am I missing something here?

I enjoyed the show and thought the guests were great. Granted, they approach parenting much differently, but you can really feel that they love to be parents and have fun with it!
Also, the censorship discussion was excellent. I have great doubts that they will feel about it the same way in ten years as they do today.
Finally, who knows what the future of the internet will look like? Don't bother with the domain name... we'll all have barcodes by then anyway... ;-)

What was the name of the book that Leo recommended...Predictability (something). I loved Freakonomics and thought his book recommendation sounded interesting. Thanks!

@Richard: Being a mother is a very complex thing, as (I assume) is being a father.
However, this complexity is not universal. That is to say, we are all not the *same* type of complex mother or the *same* type of complex father.

As an add-on to your Redbox post, you can sign up for SMS alerts (or email if you prefer) on the site and receive codes for free rentals. They come out on Mondays and Wednesdays, and allow for a free 24 hour rental, only good on that day.
