Next week on the podcast we'll be interviewing Bill Childs of the fantastic kids music radio show Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child.
If you haven't subscribed to this podcast on iTunes yet, do it now. It managed to get me and my family all the way from Northern California to Western Montana in one piece.
I also wanted to let y'all know that Bill and Stefan Shepherd from Zooglobble are presenting a fabulous lineup for small Austinites and their parents at the the Ruta Maya Coffee House on South Congress on Saturday, September 15th. If you're in Austin, you should definitely get yourself to this show.
BYOM (Bring your own meltdown.)

And if you're not in Austin, there's still good news for you. Bill has put me in touch with many fabulous kids musicians, so we're hoping to introduce you and your kids to lots of new music in upcoming episodes of the Jumping Monkeys podcast. If you're a kids musician or any kind of musician, e-mail me.

Ok, so I'm moving from San Francisco to Austin pretty soon and friends who've lived there so far recommended that I look at places like the Arboretum, Tarrytown, Allendale, and near Lake Travis (by 620).
Ok, before you think "not more californians, etc" --- I'm a native Texan :) -grew up in Houston (which I hate for many resasons, but love b/c it's home) so I'm no stranger to long commutes, freeway traffic and such.
SF has made me a YIPPIE (yuppie hippie)-- that's the sort of area I'm going for. Haven't been to Austin in a few years, but I have a vision of getting a nice townhome apt, going to the lake often, frequenting cool/quirky small businesses and being surrounded by a diverse, mostly liberal crowd. What neighborhoods fit that bill?

I think that it is great that you can get someone that he is working in that are of the industry. It is something that it isn't common.
