Feeling Chatty?

Peachpit (the publisher of Leo's Almanac) has asked me to do a live author chat tomorrow night at 7pm Pacific time. You'll find all the details at Peachpit's Event Page. It would be great to have you all there!

Birthday Party

We just had Annabella's birthday party. Leo posted a few pictures and a video on his moblog.

In case you're curious, that's me with the multimedia presentation on our mantle. There was an iMovie playing on my Powerbook, and photo slideshows playing on Marco's Powerbook and my dad's iBook. Could I be any geekier?

Our friend Nami also performed a Korean ritual where she placed a piece of rope (signifying long life), a dollar bill (signifying wealth), and a pencil (signifying intelligence) in front of Annabella to see which she grabbed first. As you can see from Leo's photo, she went for the pencil.

That's my girl.

Baby's First Birthday!

If you'd like to wish Annabella a Happy Birthday, you can do it here. I'll save this page for her so one day she can see how many people cared about her!

Moms, Anger, & the Internet

My good friend Mike Casey sent me an article from the March 21st issue of The New York Times called "Cover Baby's Ears: Mommy's Online". The New York Times charges for archived articles, but I found the entire piece reprinted at Urban Baby.com

The article talks about the angry discussions between mothers on Urban Baby's message boards. It seems that the real Mommy Wars are not being fought on the playground, but online.
