I know it's early, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy Halloween and show off Annabella in her ladybug costume. Click the images to see bigger versions.
If you've known me long enough then you know that I LOVE costumes. I dressed up on The Screen Savers whenever I could for as long as they would let me. I think my love of dressing up came from my mom who made my Halloween costumes every year.
Whatever I could imagine, she could create. The year I couldn't decide between a queen and a blueberry, I was Queen of the Blueberries. The year I decided I wanted to be a writer (5th grade), I was a pencil.
Sadly, I cannot sew. But because my mom was so great at making costumes I couldn't bring myself to buy one for Annabella. Finally, last week I gave in and bought this one online. It was on sale because I'd waited so long, but I had to pay extra to get it here on time. I cut my losses.
I may not be able to make costumes like my mom did, but I will carry on the family tradition of wearing them again and again, long after Halloween. There aren't many excuses to dress up as Queen of the Blueberries in January, but that never stopped me.

It's so cute how she looks like she loves those yellow flowers. My girlfriend loves yellow and flower and, by default, yellow flowers. I can picture that being her when she was just a baby.
Hi, this is my first post here.

I don't sew either but I had bought machine a year ago and decided this halloween was the time to make something. so I sewed Piglet for my daughter and she didn't want to wear it until tonight. (I was getting worried, lol)

Annabella looks so cute. In the costume she reminds me of an Anne Geddes picture.

that is a devine costume... plus she can surely stay warm enough if it gets nippy out tomorrow!

She looks amazingly cute! We're doing a bumble bee for our Naomi (also bought). We didn't have any trouble going with a bought costume because neither of us would remotely have time to make a costume... Naomi makes sure of that!

There's cute then there is killer cute, that's killer cute. But then she takes after her mommy&daddy. Have a great first Halloween with Annabella and dress up and give us a photo of the two of you, don't eat to much candy is there such a thing as to much candy. I think not. Be well and safe.

The number of young men who visited this blog probably took a nosedive. People came here because of Megan, now it's JumpingBabyPictures.com

On a warm Indian summer day, not long ago, I opened my door and saw hundreds of ladybugs flying through the air. It was a magnificent sight. The glorious picture of Ladybug A taking flying lessons reminded me of it. Happy Halloween.

Despite what others may say, allow this male to state he isn't put off by the pics.

If you like costumes, then you must be at least a semi Halloween freek.
Lots of fun years coming, but you have to be in a similiar costume you know. Show us those pix's too.

Hi Megan, Annabella and Marco.
Awesome pictures of the little lady bug trying to fly! Keep them coming, please!!!!
Unlike some people, since I am a Dad, I love pictures of people's kids. My son is 4 now and it is nice to see pictures of people's babies because it reminds me of when he was little. They grow up so fast.....never miss a moment to take a picture or dig out the video camera.

Megan -
Don't worry about not making her a costume - you'll do other things to make Halloween special for her as she grows up. Decorate the house, make special cookies, read fun Halloween stories - there's plenty of ways. This is the first year I didn't make costumes for my kids, and at first I did feel a little guilty - but then it freed up some time to spend with them, so I think it was a good trade off!!
And if all else fails ... maybe your mom might be inspired to make something for her cute granddaughter .... ;)

Hopefully, A will be as excited about wearing costumes as her mother is. She's beyond killer cute in these pictures.
Enjoy her first Halloween!

What looks really nice about that ladybug costume is that it looks VERY comfy. That is a big plus with little ones so they won't freak out in too much halloween garb. I found a tiger costume at Goodwill for my 2 1/2 yr. old daughter, but it was missing ears and tail, so I made them out of orange craft fur and a black sharpie. It turned out suprisingly good! I wasn't about to pull out my sewing machine, so I used the good ole hot glue gun. :)

OK...you got the whole prosecutor's office to stop ruining people's lives for a few minutes to admire Annabella.
Well...back to work. Who's next?

She looks so cute. As for the sewing, I didn't sew a stitch until a year ago. I figured I would try it and found it pretty easy and its a great hobby. I think I enjoy it because its so logical, much like computers. I made both of my little ones costumes this year, a robot and turtle, plus my own, X-mass tree.
When you find some free time, LOL, give sewing a try.

:) lady bugs are sweet. My son was Bob the Builder for Halloween. Yes, I too promised myself that I would sew him a costume, but I procrastinated until last Monday at our local Wal-Mart and then splurged on the "Bob-Bob" (as my son refers to his hero) costume.
Love your blog. I actually just found it. I just got my digital cable back and finally got to start to watch The Screen Savers again! I was terribly disapointed to see that half the cast was gone! You, Martin, and Morgan. It's nice to know that you have gotten a more accomadating (I know that didn't spell right!) job!
I blog to on crappy livejournal. Pooh. I am in the process of getting my own domain name and web space so that I can FINALLY join the ranks of my MT friends.
Happy Halloween
