On Sunday Annabella rolled over for the first time. As an added bonus, she did it in front of her grandparents. Annabella's friend Emory also rolled over for the first time in front of his grandparents. Is this common?

Yea, the extra excitment of someone else there...
The day she does a real crawl, or like my son goes right to walking, that day.... Everything changes. And life gets real interesting.

Thank God. When I read this post's title on the RSS feed I was afraid Annabella had started leaking transmission fluid.

That's not transmission fluid.

Yep it is about that time they start rolling over and making parents and granparents happy. Mikey started rolling a week ago, which is about right because he is a week older than A and getting big as an ox. Magen, that is a great pic of dad and baby, really cute.

My daughter walked for the first time in front of her grandparents...

Was she surprised at herself? She sort of looks astonished in the photo with Marco...

It's typical. Especially if the grandparents asked "is she rolling over yet?" and you said "NO". They will do it every time under those cirucmstances. The previous dance photos were really showing the practice sessions for rolling over, crawling, pulling up, walking, running, skipping, riding a bike, driving a car. Watch out! it's all coming sooner than you think.

My mother told me that my 9 month old daughter stood up with out pushing off of anything except the floor while she was watching her, but figured she had already been doing it, and didn't bother to tell us until a week later when I told her she did it for the first time.

I hope you are not only getting these acrobatic movements on still pictures, but also moving pictures.
Megan, were you briefed on this threat to your job? ;-)

Actually Marco looks somewhat surprised himself. Was this an ambush photo? :)

it is "normal" about this time for a "rollover".
i actually rolled over in my bassinet only about 2 hours after being born.
the nurses and doctors said that was the first time that had happened in their personal experience.
i've been causing trouble, ever since.

i rolled a car once. not fun. 65mph, slush, guard rail, embankment. better for the baby to roll, trust me. on a lighter note, thats great. i hope you're archiving all your posts so baby a can look back on these and mom can look back as well and it won't seem to have gone by so fast.
