A few days ago I recommended System Manager 1.0 to monitor your Mac. Today I got an email from one of our interns, Jason, who was reminded of a slightly similar program called Process Wizard. It lets you monitor all the applications and processes running on OS X
Here's the link to download the program.
The program also includes reniceing sliders that let you increase and decrease the priority of your processes. If you understand Unix, this will probably mean something to you.
I just downloaded and it looks great so far. It's freeware from La Chose Interactive.
I haven't gotten rid of System Manager 1.0 yet, since it does things that Process Wizard doesn't. If you know of a program that contains all of these features, don't be a stranger.

firsties, lol

Seconds? I think hardly anyone is posting because hardly anyone owns a Mac. Sorry Megan, but viva la PC. :-)

From the little I've read about OS X, you値l love it or hate it. My take is that 9 is considered a "true" Mac OS, whereas X is based on UNIX. I'm taking stabs in the dark, not having a chance to run any Apple products since my IIGS was sold about a year after it was introduced to the consumer market. I wish I still had it today, for posterity if nothing else.
Between Megan and Leo (and Brett on CFH), there are many neat programs for the Mac. Come the day I finally break down and give in to the force, having a required software list for the Apple newbie would be helpful.
